Debt, Credit Scores, and the New Slavery
Most people think debt is just “how life works now.” This blog exposes debt, credit scores, and the system of constant borrowing as a subtle form of modern slavery—and calls believers to a different way under YAHUAH.
Debt, Credit Scores, and the New Slavery
For a lot of people, the pattern is simple:
- Go to school on loans
- Get a car on payments
- Get a house on payments
- Put the gaps on credit cards
Then They tell you:
“Your credit score is your adult report card.”
What used to be rare is now normal. Debt isn’t just a tool—it has become a culture.
Debt in Scripture: A Serious Thing
Scripture doesn’t treat debt like it’s nothing.
- “The borrower is servant to the lender.”
- Debts created real bondage.
- Jubilees and release were major events.
YAHUAH knows that money pressure can:
- Steal peace
- Strain families
- Distract from calling
Debt isn’t always sin, but it is always weight.
How the System Traps You
Look at how Babylon plays it:
- Teach no real financial wisdom in school.
- Market debt as empowerment and freedom.
- Normalize payments for everything.
- Tie your identity and opportunities to a credit score.
So if you ever say:
“I want to step away. I want to move different.”
Debt whispers:
“You can’t. You owe us.”
That’s not freedom. That’s leverage.
Credit Score: Tool or Chain?
A credit score in itself is not evil. It measures how faithfully you play Their game.
But when:
- You feel worthless because of a number
- You take on more loans just to “build credit”
- You stay in bad jobs or situations because of payments
…the tool has become a chain.
Your worth is not your score. Your future is not limited to Their system.
Kingdom Mindset About Debt
In YAHUSHA, we’re called to:
- Pay what we owe with integrity
- Avoid unnecessary bondage
- Seek wisdom before signing anything
- Trust YAHUAH as Provider, not the credit line
Kingdom doesn’t say:
“Never use debt under any circumstance.”
But it does say:
“Count the cost. Refuse chains disguised as blessings.”
Practical Steps Toward Freedom
- Face the Numbers
- Stop Digging the Hole Deeper
- Make a Simple, Non-Complicated Paydown Plan
- Ask YAHUAH for Strategy, Not Just a Miracle
- Learn How Money Actually Works
Heart Check: Why Do You Spend?
Under a lot of debt are:
- Insecurity
- Image pressure
- Trying to keep up
- Putting pressure on “future you” to fix “present you”
Ask the RUACH HAQODESH:
“Why do I buy what I buy? What am I trying to feel?”
Let Him heal the heart, not just the wallet.
Final Call
You are not called to be a permanent servant to lenders. You are called to serve YAHUAH with a freer mind and lighter load.
You might not get out overnight. But you can turn today.
Debt is a system. YAHUSHA sets captives free—inside and outside of it.
