The Feasts of YAHUAH: Not Just “Jewish Holidays”

Most people were trained to think the Feasts are “for Jews only” or “Old Testament stuff.” Scripture says otherwise.

“These are the feasts of YAHUAH, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”

They are not “Jewish feasts.” They are YAHUAH’s appointed times — prophetic appointments that point straight to YAHUSHA.

The Spring Feasts (Already Fulfilled in YAHUSHA)

Every Spring Feast is a prophetic picture of His first coming:

• Passover (Pesach) – YAHUSHA, the Lamb without blemish, offered for our deliverance

> 1 Qorin’tiym (1 Corinthians) 5:7

• Unleavened Bread – His sinless body in the grave; removing leaven (sin) from our homes and hearts

• Firstfruits – YAHUSHA’s resurrection as the “firstfruits of them that slept”

> 1 Qorin’tiym 15:20

• Shavu’oth (Pentecost) – The RUACH HAQODESH poured out on the believers, writing Torah on our hearts

> Ma’asiym (Acts) 2

These aren’t random feast days — they are timestamps on YAHUAH’s redemption plan.

The Fall Feasts (Pointing to His Return)

If the Spring Feasts were fulfilled in His first coming, the Fall Feasts point to His second.

• Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) – Trumpets, awakening blasts, the announcement of the King’s coming

> 1 Thessaloniqim (1 Thessalonians) 4:16

• Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) – National repentance and cleansing; points to Israel’s future restoration

> Zakaryahu (Zechariah) 12:10

• Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) – YAHUAH dwelling with His people; a picture of the millennial reign

> Zekaryahu (Zechariah) 14:16

The calendar isn’t just about dates. It’s about destiny.

Why Should We Keep the Feasts Today?

The Hebrew word mo’edim means appointments / rehearsals. We rehearse now for what He will fulfill later.

How to Start Keeping the Feasts (Without Getting Religious)

This isn’t about being “more Jewish.” It’s about being more obedient and more prophetic.

1. Learn

Read Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23. Study each feast in context.

1. Observe with Your Household

• Mark the days on your calendar

• Share the story of each feast with your family

• Do simple, meaningful acts (unleavened bread, a Shabbat meal, dwelling in a sukkah, etc.)

1. Teach Your Children

Let them see that YAHUAH’s calendar runs your house more than the world’s holidays.

1. Share with Others

Use the feasts as a doorway to preach YAHUSHA from Torah to Revelation.

Dump the Yeast: Religion vs. Obedience

YAHUSHA warned about the yeast of the Pharisees — their traditions and teachings that canceled out YAHUAH’s Word.

“Why do ye also transgress the commandment of Elohiym by your tradition?”

— Mattithyahu (Matthew) 15:3

Yeast = man-made doctrines that puff us up and pull us off the ancient path.

• Yeast says: “Those feasts are for Jews; we have our own holidays now.”

• Torah says: “These are MY feasts throughout your generations.” (Vayiqra 23:14, 21, 31, 41)

If a tradition makes you ignore YAHUAH’s appointments, that tradition is yeast.
