The Feasts Are Not Jewish — They Belong to YAHUAH
The appointed times in Leviticus 23 are not “Jewish holidays.” They are YAHUAH’s moedim — divine appointments that reveal prophecy, covenant, and Messiah.
The Feasts Are Not Jewish — They Belong to YAHUAH
One of the biggest deceptions in modern Christianity is this:
“The feasts are Jewish.”
That statement sounds harmless. It is not.
The feasts are not Jewish. They are YAHUAH’s appointed times.
The Text Is Clear
“These are the feasts of YAHUAH, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons.”
— Leviticus 23:4
Notice what it does not say.
It does not say “feasts of the Jews.” It does not say “temporary rituals.”
It says feasts of YAHUAH.
The Hebrew word for feast is moed — meaning appointed time, divine appointment, sacred meeting.
These are not cultural holidays. They are covenant rehearsals.
The Feasts Reveal Messiah
Passover (Pesach) reveals YAHUSHA as the Lamb.
“Messiah our Passover is sacrificed for us.”
— 1 Corinthians 5:7
Shavuot reveals the giving of Torah and the outpouring of the Ruach.
“When the day of Pentecost was fully come…”
— Acts 2:1
Sukkot reveals the dwelling of Elohim with His people.
The feasts are prophetic shadows pointing to Messiah.
“Let no man therefore judge you… in respect of a feast day… which are a shadow of things to come.”
— Colossians 2:16–17
A shadow does not disappear when the substance comes. It gains clarity.
Why Were They Replaced?
History matters.
After the Romanization of Christianity, separation from anything “Jewish” became political and cultural policy. Biblical feasts were replaced with man-made traditions disconnected from Torah timing.
But covenant truth does not expire.
The early believers kept the feasts. Paul kept the feasts. YAHUSHA kept the feasts.
The question is not “Is this Jewish?”
The question is: Is this YAHUAH’s instruction?
Covenant Identity and Appointed Time
When you observe YAHUAH’s moedim, you align with His calendar.
You step into rhythm. You remember redemption. You rehearse prophecy.
These are not burdens. They are invitations.
And returning to them is not about legalism.
It is about covenant alignment.
